The Quiqcorp company is the merge of companies owned by the two founding directors, Mike Coker and Andrew Duck. They each have unique talents and had previously created several stand alone businesses relating to a collection of markets and industries. In joining forces, Mike brings experience in the printing and publishing industry, product design and incremental marketing, graphic design, brand development, and has strengths in developing key strategies for crafting profitable businesses. While Andrew has owned and operated several companies internationally, servicing markets such as: enterprise hosting, graphic design, website development, marketing and media consulting, network engineering, network consulting, online security consulting and hardware wholesale/retail.
Mike Coker is a natural innovator and an entrepreneur. He graduated with a BFA in 1996, his first role was as the sole graphic designer in a small printing company, where he quickly expanded his qualifications with real-knowledge in the printing trade, pre-press, print process, paper specification and ink saturation. Mike’s design experience now covers several industries and product types including; windsurfing (sails and boards), surf, wake, kite surf, yachting, neoprene, cycles and parts, and all the associated apparel, luggage, travel gear, tools, gadgets, and promotion items. Mike’s knowledge base comes from designing graphics for products, the design and development of products and product ranges, packaging, advertising, merchandising and the implementation of factory production processes.
If you get an opportunity to meet with Mike, and get on to the topic of travel you will discover that he is very well travelled and has much business and life experiences to share – he connects well with all walks of life. It is through his experiences that he has gained an ability to fully appreciate what consumers seek in products, and what may enhance their purchase decisions. With more than 12 years programming and application development experience, Andrew is a qualified web and systems technologist. Andrew is a web and systems technologist with more than 12 years programming and application development experience. Andrew has been working with eZ Publish, an enterprise content management solution since 2005 having since achieved all eZ Publish certifications available and becoming an eZ Certified Trainer. In Andrew's capacity at Quiqcorp he has trained both our internal staff as well as other eZ Systems partner organisations. In addition Andrew has developed and presented several different training courses and workshops covering eZ Publish Project Management, Hosting Infrastructure and Performance Management topics.
Andrew has a passion for progressive and exciting technology as well as for solving complex networking and clustering problems for corporate and government clients. His most favoured technologies are PHP, MySQL and Perl, however he is quite adept and willing to work in several other languages where most suitable for a project. Andrew is currently an Invited Expert to the W3C HTML Working Group and a returning judge for the Web Marketing Association’s Web Awards.

We get asked each year to develop and design Christmas cards for some of our clients – this year we decided to make one for Quiqcorp. Our constraints were set and fixed as a test to see what we could complete with the budget that many smaller companies face but instead of designing a custom card choose a pre-design mass produced option.
Constraints included: budget ($250 for design, print and postage), time (5 days), environmentally friendly (paper choice, print process, minimal waste), and enjoyable (family and friends, wine, coffee, laughter) and it had to have a classic basic christmas feeling with use of brand and colour.
Result: one A4 printed double side, hand folded, hand cut and glued.
