TODAYS SPECIALS (adaptations of kiwiana) by Steven Tooley

In this exhibition Steven is exploring a variety of styles reinterpreting Kiwianna.

Heavily influenced by the idea of a commercial NZ and the irony behind a lot of classic kiwiana icons, he has approached this with memories of signs he has seen on dairy's and shops throughout NZ and has created a body of work which looks like they have been taken straight off the walls of a classic kiwi dairy, (the heart of NZ). His ultimate goal is creating a body of work which will constantly grow and evolve from show to show, much as he sees NZ evolving.

This is intended to be the first in a series of exhibitions.
